Hiketoberfest 2024 at Van Cortlandt Park – Saturday, October 19, 2024
Hike in the park followed by a classic Oktoberfest celebration, complete with local beer, German food, live music, lawn games, and more.
Tickets on Sale!
Early Bird Ticket Sales end on Friday, September 20, 2024.
All Hikes:
- Are led by skilled guides;
- Finish at approximately 4:00pm… please take note of start times;
- Begin and end at the Van Cortlandt House Museum;
- Require onsite check-in. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time for your hike.
Oktoberfest:
- Held from 4:00 to 6:00pm
- German food by Loreley Restaurant & Biergarten;
- Local beer, including Captain Lawrence Brewing, Alternative Medicine Brewing Company, and Industrial Arts Brewing Company served in VCPA souvenir mug by our good friends from the Bronx Beer Hall;
- Lloyd’s Carrot Cake Cupcakes
- Yard games on the Van Cortlandt House Museum lawn;
- Live music with BB and the Polkahaus;
- Raffle tickets will be sold at the event for the chance to win terrific prizes!
Bronx Halloween Parade – Saturday, October 26, 2024
This beloved community-based event continues to serve as a safe space for children and adults alike to enjoy the spirit of Halloween. This year’s theme is “Zombie Apocalypse,” so get ready for a frightfully fun time!
After the parade, we invite all guests to gather at Bill Rainey Park for an artist showcase that will feature celebrity guests, local politicians, talented artists, marching bands, and thrilling costume contests with cash prizes. Plus, there will be plenty of candy for everyone to enjoy!
Parade Route:
Begins at Southern Blvd. & Westchester Ave.
Heading South on Southern Blvd.
Turning right onto Intervale Ave.
Concludes at Dawson St.
