Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights – November 30, 2023 through January 7, 2024 (Fridays to Sundays)

During the evenings, the Bronx Zoo comes to life with holiday cheer as immersive light displays, custom-designed animal lanterns and animated light shows sparkle across the zoo.
Bronx Little Italy’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony – December 2

The beloved annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is back! To kick off the season the neighborhood will welcome the public to Ciccarone Park at the intersection of East 188th Street and Arthur Avenue. Attendees can get into the holiday spirit by meeting Santa and an elf singing along to holiday caroling and enjoying Italian cookies and hot chocolate from local small businesses. In addition The BID will partner with The Children’s Cancer Society of America to offer a toy giveaway for children on a first come first served basis.
Christmas Grand Market 2023 – Bronx – December 10

Grand Market is a longstanding tradition in Jamaica that takes place after the usual Christmas morning service or on the eve of Christmas Day. The whole community would be out in their numbers participating in a variety of games, and competitions for all ages, lots of gifts including many toys were on sale from brightly decorated stalls, there was food and drink in abundance, and a great time was had by the entire family throughout the day.
