Riverdale Choral Society Concert – December 10, 2023
The Riverdale Choral Society under the baton of Music Director Mun-Tzung Wong will present Requiem by Gabriel Fauré as well as other timeless choral treasures by Fauré, Mozart, Bainton, Rutter, and Brahms on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 3pm. The concert will take place at Christ Church Riverdale at 3 pm. The church is located at 5040 Henry Hudson Parkway in the Bronx.
In addition to the Riverdale Choral Society, the concert will feature solo vocal performances by soprano Corrine Byrne and baritone Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha. Instrumental performances will be contributed by Sonia Bize on the harp and David Štech on the organ.
Winter Celebration — Tree Lighting and Festive Fare – December 10, 2023

The Holiday Train Show at New York Botanical Garden – November 17, 2023 – January 15, 2024
The Holiday Train Show returns bigger than ever with more trains and an all-new, outdoor train display. Start on the lawn to capture your perfect holiday photos at our outdoor mountainscapes and then watch trains zip past nearly 200 iconic New York landmarks under the warmth of the Conservatory. After dark, join us for NYBG GLOW and discover the beauty of our landscape and historic buildings, illuminated across the grounds. And don’t miss the return of our fan-favorite Bar Car Nights, 21-and-over evenings featuring the Holiday Train Show and curated cocktails. These special evenings feature music, experiences, food, and more—making for the ultimate night out this season.

Start a new holiday tradition and get outside this season with NYBG GLOW!
On select nights, visitors of all ages can enjoy both the Holiday Train Show® and NYBG GLOW, the Garden’s outdoor holiday light experience now back for its fourth year. During New York’s biggest holiday celebration, the Garden’s iconic sights and buildings, including the Haupt Conservatory and the LuEsther T. Mertz Library Building, become dramatic, glittering canvases. Thousands of dazzling, energy-efficient choreographed lights and sound and picture-perfect installations create a spectacle not to be missed.
Bronx Zoo Holiday Light 2023 – November 17, 2023 to January 7, 2024
Join the Bronx Zoo Holiday Light Festival for a family holiday festival.
During the evenings the park comes to life with holiday cheer as immersive light displays custom-designed animal lanterns and animated light shows sparkle across the zoo. This year you’ll experience New lantern displays showcasing the wildlife of New York’s ocean waters and wetlands plus a new interactive experience celebrating bioluminescent creatures.
The Bronx Zoo’s sparkling seasonal outdoor celebration featuring animated lights and LED displays of animals from around the world is back this year.
Tree Lighting Event at The Mall at Bay Plaza – November 17
Don’t Miss The Mall at Bay Plaza’s 6th annual, interactive tree lighting event! Come to the village area entrance on the ground level.
Enjoy entertainment by the enchanted holiday princess, multi-talented elves, and a stilt walking toy soldier. Experience the XFactor Drumline performance, and a parade with Santa. Plus, DJ Omar will have giveaways for kids.
Rotary Club of the Bronx – Holiday Celebration 2023 – November 17
Start your holidays off right with a celebration of the season with the Rotary Club of the Bronx at the scenic waterfront at Marina Del Rey!
We will be honoring Eugene Oliver and Sharlene Brown Oliver for their many contributions to the Bronx community and Rotary.
A portion of the proceeds will support efforts on behalf of the children of the Ukraine
